YSRCP ridicules Naidu’s Delhi trip

Visakhapatnam, Sept 15, 2013:
Pooh-poohing N Chandrababu Naidu’s Delhi tour with TDP leaders of both the
regions, YSCP has said, the opposition leader’s claim that he is bound to
national capital to solve the political imbroglio in the State is ridiculous as
he is leading the contingent as a show of strength before the Congress high
command to curry personal favours.

“There is no difference between PRP
which has merged with Congress and the TDP that has been extending total
support to the Congress. The parading of TDP leaders in Delhi is for a hard
bargain in his favour with the show of strength but the trip has nothing to do
with clearing the uncertainty in the State,” Sharmila said while addressing a
public meeting here on Sunday during the Samaikhya
Shankaravam.

The uncertainty and imbroglio on the division has sprouted from the letter
Naidu has given to Centre expressing no objection to bifurcating the State and
now Naidu leading a delegation to Delhi with all his leaders in tow clearly
indicates that he is on mission to play foul with YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who has
just moved the bail petition.

The TDP leader is using the contingent of his elected leaders as a commodity to
trade with Congress high command and continue the conspiracy to keep YS Jagan
Mohan Reddy away from the people,” she said.

The padayatras, bus yatra and Delhi
yatras of Naidu will not yield any results as the YSRCP is with the people and
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is the undisputed leader who will steer the Party to
victory in the next elections, she said.

Going to Delhi with leaders of both regions could be only a farce as
Chandrababu Naidu has already given the letter agreeing for the bifurcation of
the State. Unless he withdraws the letter and announces his support to the
united state, his stand continuous to be dubious like his deeds and deals.

He had earlier said that the two regions
are like two eyes and his double standards and double speak had come into the
open by taking up Bus Yatra in Seemandhra even after giving a letter agreeing
to the bifurcation of the State.

TDP, TRS, Congress, BJP and CPI are in
favour of a separate state while YSRCP, MIM and CPI (M) are against the
division. When the deck is so clear, Naidu leading a delegation of his party
leaders belonging to both the regions looks absurd, she said.

YSRCP on its part has clarity on the stand and the MLAs had quit ahead of the
CWC decision to split the state while the Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy
and Honorary President YS Vijayamma have undertaken fast for the cause of a
united state besides writing letters to the Centre.

Chandrababu Naidu has a clumsy vision
and has dubious and double standards on the issue. He should quit along with
his elected representatives and withdraw the letter he has given to the Centre
for the cause of a united state or announce that he is for a separate state--he
cannot be both, she said.

Congress and TDP leaders are still hanging on to their posts as their
priorities are to be in office at any cost and people’s sentiments come next.
Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy knew of the division in advance but was
silent and if all Seemandhra leaders cutting across party lines had quit
immediately after Digvijay Singh had announced the decision to divide the
state, the situation would have been very different.

Water sharing and capital development are
the most contentious issues and without addressing them, the Centre cannot
divide the State against the wishes of the majority of the people. YSRCP demands that the state should be united
and the Centre has no right to divide the State if it cannot solve the issues
arising out of the bifurcation, she said.
