YSRCP gives no-trust notice

Hyderabad, March 10: The main opposition YSR Congress has given a notice of no-confidence motion against TDP government for its anti-people policies and escalating corruption besides failing to implement its poll promises affecting all sections of people.

‘We have given the notice to Legislative Assembly secretary and hope that it will come up for discussion soon and with the whip on we have to see on which side the defectors will vote, party MLAs Sujay Krishna Ranga Rao, Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, Upuleti Kalapana and others told media here on Thursday.

The government has lost the moral right to rule as it has gone back on all the poll promises, the loans of farmers and DWACRA women were not waived, youth were not given jobs nor unemployment stipend was paid, the number of pensioners was reduced, many scams have unfolded, there was large scale corruption and irregularities in the capital area region and land pooling, they said.

Chandrababu Naidu had given unviable poll promises and when he failed to fulfill them, farmers and women groups were drifting into debt trap which led to suicides of farmers. After coming to power the government has been favouring a section of people in many ways.

Despite being the coalition partner of NDA at the Centre, TDP could not get the special status and other assurances given in the State Reorganisation Act which makes its inefficiency more pronounced.

‘The no-confidence motion we have given is the voice of the people and hope it will be taken up at the earliest,’ they said.
