YSRCP To Embark On Bus Yatra To Polavaram Project On Dec 7

Hyderabad: On the instructions of YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy,  the main opposition party leaders,  MPs, MLAs and MLCs will embark on Bus Yatra To Polavaram Project on December 7. They will visit the project site and study the progress in the construction of the national project. 

The union government had recently asked the AP government to stop the works on the grounds that irregularities took place in the execution of the project. The YSR Congress leaders expressed serious doubts on the completion of the project as the government deliberately neglected Polavaram.

The party also exposed misuse of the funds allocated to Polavaram by the Centre under national project. Based on the report submitted by an official team, the union government stopped releasing funds to the project.
