YSRCP condemns Rajesh arrest

Hyderabad, Dec 19, 2013:
Condemning the arrest of former MLA Maddala Rajesh, YSR Congress has slammed
the Union minister and Congress leader Kavuri Sambasiva Rao for misusing
official position and demanded the unconditional release of the dalit leader
who was taken into custody at the behest of union minister.

“KS Rao who raised his
voice for a united state has yielded to Centre after getting a cabinet berth at
the cost of people’s sentiments and police arresting the former MLA for
questioning him is brazen misuse of official machinery and we demand his
immediate release,” party leaders B Sreekanth Reddy and K Srinivasulu told
reporters here on Wednesday.

While KS Rao was touring
the constituency, people have questioned him as to why he was in town in
instead of being in Delhi and fighting for a united state and some eggs were
thrown on him in the melee. Police arrested Maddala Rajesh, who joined YSRCP,
and released him the same day but the union minister had influenced the high
officials and had seen to it that cases were foisted under various sections and
took him in to custody by a posse of policemen.

“We condemn this
highhandedness of police and the Union Minister for influencing them to arrest
him and demand that he should be unconditionally released as this has been a
case of sheer vindictiveness on part of the union minister  who used very
abusive language against the dalit leader in full public glare,’ they said.

KS Rao after getting a
berth has gone in for a make-over and dyed his hair but could not clean his
inner self as he was kept under check by the high command about his shady
business dealings. “It was KS Rao who has deceived the people in the name of
Samaikhyandhra and he will be questioned anywhere he goes, so will be the other
ministers be it K Chiranjeevi, Panabaka Lakshmi, Purendeswari or others.

If they want to take law
into their hands we are not afraid and these false cases will not stand the
legal scrutiny but people will teach the union ministers a fitting lesson as
they have

ditched them as they could
not raise their voice against the Centre for the  cause of a united State.
“It is only YSR Congress that is fighting for a united state. TDP leader N
Chandrababu Naidu has never given an iota of hope to the people of Seemandhra
and his son Lokesh has been speaking out of sheer ignorance and recklessness,”
they added.
