Hyderabad, Sept 7, 2013: Condemning the attack on lawyers in the High court
here, YSR Congress has said that the law and order situation has totally
collapsed in the State.
“We condemn the attack on Seemandhra lawyers in High court and the
untoward incident is not an isolated one. It happened in many government
offices and State should pull up its socks to maintain law and order,” Party
spokesperson Jupudi Prabhakar told reporters here on Friday.
If such an incident takes place in High Court just imagine the
situations happening elsewhere. We strongly condemn the incident and demand the
Government to take immediate steps to bring order in the state.
The attack on lawyers is nothing but attack on democracy and if the
state cannot resolve the issue it should go, he said.
There was no precedence where the Police Commissioner has called on the
Chief Justice of High Court and this shows the total failure of law and order,
he said adding that the Government should take responsibility for incident.
