YSRCP committed for BC welfare: YS Jagan

Papanayudupeta: Reaffirming the commitment to BC welfare YSR Congress President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that Chandrababu Naidu has cheated the BCs in various ways and the sub-plan amount was meager when compared to the actual sum allocated.

Speaking at the BC interaction meeting as part of the Praja Sankalpa Yatra here on Wednesday, the Leader of Opposition said,  of the proposed Rs 10,000 crores sub-plan for BCs Chandrababu Naidu has released Rs 2, 200 crores followed by Rs 2,573 crores and Rs 4,5000 crores during the past three years which shows the commitment towards BC welfare.

It was only during the golden era of Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy that BCs have benefitted immensely and our party, when voted to power with your blessings, will take forward his agenda and work for the welfare of community.

Our Party leaders have fanned out to all constituencies to collect the grievances and suggestions of BCs and we will hold BC Garjana after the Padayatra and release the BC Declaration spelling out our agenda for BC welfare, he said.

Education, medicare, pensions and housing are the core sectors which would improve the standard of living of the weaker sections and the focus of our Navaratnas has been to provide quality education to all youth of weaker sections with implementation of fees reimbursement and crediting Rs 15,000 under Amma Vodi to the mothers bank account for sending her two children to school.

Aarogyasri would be strengthened and quality medicare would be brought within the reach of the common man. Pensions would be increased to Rs 2,000 and the age would be relaxed further and houses would be built and registered in the name of the housewife which would be like an asset, he said.

Chandarababu Naidu has cheated the BCs all the four years. He told Boyas, Kurmas, fishermen and others that they would be included in the Scheduled list but has went back on the promise. He would on one hand boast of reservations to one caste and ask the other sections to go on strike double-crossing the poorer sections.

Such leaders should be questioned as to why anyone should vote for them as he had played the caste politics to the hilt and cheated them.
