Hyderabad: CM Chandrababu Naidu is fooling the people of the state on the special status issue. While the state government is supposed to fight for the people, they are trying to convince the people,” Senior leader and former minister Dharmana Prasad Rao alleged.
The YSRCP offered to work together with his arch rival and Chief Minister for getting special category status for the State.
The party alleged the Chief Minister did not take an all party delegation for the purpose and failed to adopt an unanimous resolution in the Assembly over the issue as demanded by the YSRCP in the past.
“They haven’t done anything about it from the past one year and they are dealing with it like cats, what will they answer the people?” He questioned.
Taking potshots at the Centre, he said the Central government has only delivered a mere package when asked for the ‘Special Status’ of Andhra Pradesh.
Rao further said that package given by the Central government is not an alternative to the ‘Special Status’.
