Hyderabad: The TDP government is doing nothing for the welfare of the farmers, said YSRCP senior leader Botsa Satyanarayana.
He said that the YSRCP is taking cudgels on behalf of the farmers after it came to light that the buyers at the market yards have formed a cartel and under quoted the price.
He said that YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will stage a protest deeksha at Guntur on May 1 and May 2. The deeksha was initially scheduled for April 26 and 27 but was postponed to May 1 and 2.
The venue would be announced after obtaining permission from the authorities.
