YS Jagan's promise to lawyers

Gudivada: Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh assembly and YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy promised to establish Rs 100 crores Welfare Fund for lawyers in the state once YSRCP comes to power. 

Speaking at an interactive session with lawyers at Kauthavaram here today as part of his historic mass outreach programme Praja Sankalpa Yatra, YS Jagan said that there was no clarity on the place where the High Court would come up and added that after its establishment, lawyers would be provided with house sites close to the HC.

This morning YS Jagan participated in an interactive session with the lawyers and said that AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu had the distinction of cheating even the lawyers’ community in the state. The lawyers narrated their woes to the leader and informed him that there was no support to them from the TDP government. After giving a patient hearing to their problems, YS Jagan assured them extending a helping hand and promised to give Rs 5000 to all those enrolled as advocates.

The lawyers also extended their support to the Leader of Opposition on behalf of the legal fraternity.
