YS Jagan open letter to cm & Speaker

YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy strongly criticized the sudden decision of AP assembly speaker K Shivaprasad to hold the meeting of the committee on general purposes. In a letter to the speaker, YS Jagan said this was a devious plan to divert the attention of the house from real issues.

In his hard-hitting letter, YS Jagan said the date was fixed in such a manner that YSRCP MLAs would be away at Delhi for the dharna for special status to AP. Of the 25 invitees, only three were from the YSRCP and the remainder were from the ruling TDP, he pointed out.

He further pointed out that the committee on general purposes has never met in the last 12 years and the TDP as an opposition had never demanded for the convening of the meet. “The government deliberately removed YSR’s photo from the Assembly lobby and is trying to sidetrack the real issues,” he said.

He said the YSRCP would raise the issue of Cash for Vote scam and the deaths at Pushkar Ghat in Rajahmundry and the illegal sand smuggling, besides several other issues. He also wanted the government to spell out the agenda of the meeting first.
