YS Jagan instills confidence in Kidney patients hearts

YSR Congress Party chief and Leader of the Opposition in Andhra Pradesh Assembly, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's hugely successful tour of North Coastal Andhra was a huge succour to the kidney patients in Srikakulam. He visited the patients and interacted with them to know their problems.

Each patient need at least Rs 15-20 thousands every month to get the dialysis done, but the Government is doing precious little to help them out. Speaking on the occasion, YS Jagan said Chandrababu had watered down schemes like Arogya Sree, 108 and 104. These schemes were meant to provide quality medicare to the poor and the marginalised, YS Jagan said.

YS Jagan further said that when he comes to power, he would provide Rs 10000 pension to the kidney patients. He said this scheme would be extended to places like Prakasam, Uddanam and Nandigama, where there are kidney patients. YSR Congress will always give top priority to public health and chalk out programmes for the wellbeing of the people, he said. Poor patients suffering with renal ailments cannot afford the cost of medicines, dialysis and transplant cost and the state has not been helping in any way, he said.

He said currently, the patients are forced to travel 80 km to reach Tekkali or 200 km to reach Vizag to get the dialysis done. Hence, we will strengthen Primany health centres and set up dialysis units in these centres. YS Jagan's tour has instilled confidence among the people.
