YS Jagan greets Muslims on Ramzan

YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy greeted Muslims after the moon was sighted in the two Telugu States. The sighting of moon marks the beginning of the Ramzan month which the Muslims observe in strict adherence.

Greeting the Islamic community on the commencement of the holy month, YS Jagan wished the grace of Allah on every member. He also said that Ramzan was not just about fasting it also removes the evil among human beings, he said.

With the sighting of moon in most parts of India and particularly Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states, Muslims in the regions will observe a month of abstinence from all kinds of desires. Giving of alms is also encouraged during the holy month. The entire community gets together to pray and develop good thoughts while diverting their attention to the reading of Quran during the month. It's worth mentioning here that fasting during Ramzan is one of the five pillars of Islam.
