YS Jagan demands more compensation for gas leak victims

* Why is the management of the aqua unit not arrested so far?
* Is Chandrababu not aware of the pollution of Gonteru drain?

Mogalturu: The Leader of the Opposition and YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thurday went to Mogalturu in West Godavari district and cosoled the kin of tragic gas leak victims in an aqua factory.

A gas tragic leak in an aqua factory claimed five lives. He visited the Narsapur Government Hospital, where the victims are admitted.
After consoling the victims family members, the YSRCP chief demanded that all the aqua factories be shifted to the sea coast. " Chandrababu, the district collector and the pollution control board knew fully well that there would be pollution, but gave permission to the unit," YS Jagan said.

Stating that this is just a 30 tonne capacity factory, YS Jagan shocked saying that imagine what will happen if the Tundurru unit, which is 350 tonne capacity unit, comes up.

" The locals have been agitating against the Tundurru unit for the last two years. The company that built the Mogalturu plant is constructing the Tundurru unit. The Government should make the management pay more compensation and that it arrest the management for the death of five lives," he demanded.

The YSRCP chief also questioned that are the CM, collector, pollution Control Board not aware of the pollution of Gonteru drain?. Are they not aware of the likely environmental impact of these aqua factories in this region?.  Why is the management of the aqua unit, where gas leakage killed five persons, not arrested so far?, he asked.
