YS Jagan appeals President on TDP Attrocities


Hyderabad: YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Sunday appealed the President Pranab Mukherjee to intervene in the misrule of Andhra Pradesh by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
YS Jagan along with party MPs, MLAs and other leaders had a meeting with the President who is camping at Rashtrapati Nilayam here on winter sojourn. He brought various issues that are destabilizing the state to the notice of the President and requested his intervention in the interests of the people. He gave a detailed account of the major issues that are rocking the state including call money sex racket, bauxite mining and forcible land acquisition in the name of capital construction. Despite a clear provision in the Constitution, no tribal advisory committee was formed to continue bauxite mining in the agency areas and the mining is going on against the sentiments of the tribals, YS Jagan told the President.
YS Jagan also complained to the President the most undemocratic way the party MLA Roja was suspended from the Assembly. He appealed the President to use his good offices to accord special status for Andhra Pradesh as it would help the state achieve development.
