Youth and the disabled are finding a new hope in YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. They are flocking to his padayatra in drones and are pouring out their tales of woes. To them, YS Jagan is an elderly brother, who gives them a patient hearing and instills confidence.
As he is crisscrossing East Godavari district as part of his game-changing Praja Sankalpa Yatra, a disabled girl met YS Jaga at Chinatallapalem. She told him that she was being denied welfare schemes as she did not vote for the TDP. The TDP workers were putting spokes, he said and added that she was pushed out when she went to Rajahmundry Government Hospital for a physical disability certificate. She said at that instant, she took a vow that she would take a ration card and pension only after YS jagan becomes the Chief Minister of the state. A visibly moved YS Jagan told her to wait for another year and added that the YSR’s Rajanna Rajyam would come back.
A large number of youths too are meeting YS Jagan. On Saturday, Sai Triveni, a BTech student met him and expressed the hope that she and other youths in the state would get jobs when the state gets special status. She said the students would get scholarships when YS Jagan becomes the chief minister.
