Women rally against their MLA Balakrishna

Ananthapuram: Women of the state are annoyed at film actor and TDP MLA Balakrishna. In the audio release function of a movie, he spoke about women in a degrading manner. Local and national media focused on this issue. Women and public organizations condemned him for this. In light of this, women and female students of _ conducted a rally in his constituency Hindupuram with co-ordination from the woman wing of YSRCP. A raastha roko was held at local Ambedkar circle, with slogans saying Balakrishna did not deserve to be an MLA and demanding him to resign. They also lit his mannequin in fire.

 President of YSRCP’s urban woman division Nagamani spoke on this occasion. She slammed his statements saying he had to kiss a girl or make her pregnant. She commented that Balakrishna spoke this sort of statements in real life while delivering huge speeches in movies in women’s honour. YSRCP B-block convener Mallikarjuna  , YSRCP woman division convener Shamintaz, state youth secretary Prasanth Goud, counselors Rajani, Shazia, Jayamma, Siva, Asifvulla, Nagabhushana Reddy and Anjinappa, leaders Samad, Riaz, Nanjireddy, Ramesh, Chandrasekhar, Raghu and Narasimhareddy, student division leaders Chandrasekhar Reddy, Giri, Raghu and lawyer Gangadhar participated in this rally.
