Woman Activists Sentimentally Insulted

The police of Chittoor district got on to people's nerves under the direction of Chandrababu. They attacked YSRCP's woman activists brutally, as they were participating in democratically-held bandh.

As called for by YSRCP, bandh was peacefully conducted in Tirupati. The party's general secretary Bhumana Karunakar Reddy led a huge show. TDP leaders sent the police to interrupt this road show. The police manhandled the activists by pulling them away. They also attacked the woman activists, cutting the nuptial chains of some of them and tearing sarees of some others, thereby insulting them. They only aimed at injuring and insulting the activists and the leaders. The women, in particular, later expressed their agony in front of the media.
