Why AP CM is not arrested yet, questions B.Tech Student

Guntur: A girl student sought to know why AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was not arrested when he was caught red-handed in the cash-for-vote scam.

The student posed this question during an interaction with YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at Yuvabheri programme at Nallapadu road in Guntur district on Thursday. She was referring to the cash-for-vote scandal in which TDP MLA Revanth Reddy was caught by the ACB when he was trying to bribe MLA Stephenson.

Replying to her question, YS Jagan said that the incident had never happened in the Independent India. Chandrababu should have been arrested in the infamous cash-for-vote case, but he had mortgaged special status to the Centre only to evade prosecution in the case.

Another B.Tech student Venkat questioned as to why the TDP leaders are making investments in Uttarakhand State. Guntur District MP Galla Jayadev and TDP Guntur district president Anjaneyulu have set up industries in Uttarakhand. The YSRCP president replied that the unemployed youth could have fetched jobs, had the TDP leaders set up the industries in Andhra Pradesh. "With this question from the youngster, I hope Chandrababu realise it," YS Jagan said.
