Welfare schemes benefitting coterie

Hyderabad: The State Government has been favouring corporate houses in the purchase of groceries for the Chandranna Kanukalu and an inquiry into the issue would bring out the facts as to who the real beneficiary is, YSR Congress has said.
Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, party spokesperson Ambati Rambabu said,  ‘ the state has ordered that groceries for the distribution to weaker sections under Chandranna Kanukala should be purchased from business houses that have a turnover of more than Rs 30 crores only to benefit  the corporate houses that have dealings with Chandrababu Naidu’s family-owned company.
It is not the weaker sections that are being benefitted through the gifts as they are given inferior quality of groceries but the contract being given to big houses, they will end up as the real beneficiaries. The beginning was made with the village malls which went to Reliance and Fortune group’, he said.
Chandrababu Naidu has always been after kickbacks from Polavaram, to land, liquor and capital region land acquisition and his family holidaying in Maldives seems to be for finalising of accounts of the ill-gotten wealth, he said adding that all the details will come out if an inquiry is ordered.
