New Delhi: YSRCP Senior leader and Rajya Sabha member Vijaya Sai Reddy has expressed serious concern over the spread of swine flu in Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking in the Parliament during the Zero Hour, the YSRCP MP said that out of 12 persons who had fallen ill because of the swine flu disease in 2016, 6 persons died. But, in January 2017 itself, the disease had claimed 6 persons. " 26 persons have fallen ill because of the flu in January. Out of them, six persons have lost their lives," he said.
The AP government and the public healthcare system have failed miserably in dealing with the outbreak of the disease in AP.
He requested the minister of health to create an awareness of the disease among the people to tackle the disease and extend support to the state.
