Vijay Sai Reddy Moves Notice For Debate On Special Status In RS


New Delhi: YSR Congress Party senior leader and MP V Vijay Sai Reddy demanded Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to stop the political dramas he is playing on special status issue.  
Speaking to newsmen in New Delhi,  the YSR Congress leader said that he moved a notice seeking debate on special status in the ongoing monsoon session of the Upper House. He lambasted the TDP for its non committal in the  fight for special status.  It was Chandrababu who supported special package in lieu of special status and also adopted a resolution in Assembly praising the Centre.
Vijay Sai Reddy questioned Chandrababu whether the TDP Chief withdraw the thanks motion adopted in Assembly in support of special package.  He also pointed out that the CM proposed to accord statutory status to  special package. He dared Chandrababu to approach Supreme Court against special package and prove his sincerity in protecting the Andhra interests. 
The YSR Congress leader also came down heavily on former Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for mortgaging state at the time of state bifurcation.  His party will support to the parties which come forward to accord special category status to Andhra Pradesh in the next elections.  The YSR Congress will continue its fight for special status until the people’s aspirations are fulfilled, he added.
