Hyderabad: The YSR Congress party in a press release announced that it would stage protests against the Centre's failure in delivering on its promise of according the Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh. Five years after making the promise, the bifurcation promises still lie unaddressed, it said.
"On the other side, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) with its anti-people governance is running the State even as it failed to deliver on election promises. Condemning the attitude of the BJP at the Centre and the TDP in State, the YSRCP already staged protests across Visakhapatnam, Nellore, Anantapur and Guntur," the press release said.
Calling on the people of the State to take part, the party announced that it would hold the 'Vanchanapai Garjana' meeting in Kakinada on November 30.
