In yet another incident, the negligence of the government was exposed thoroughly. About 10 people were died and another 250 fell sick after consuming contaminated drinking water in Guntur. All the patients were admitted to hospitals and undergoing treatment. Many of their is condition is state to be critical.
Taking serious note of it, YSR Congress party leader L Appi Reddy submitted a memorandum to the Municipal Commissioner and demanded to supply safe drinking water to all local habitats. He said people dwelling in Anandapeta, Sangadigunta and Vinibha nagar were facing hardships due to scarcity of water.
He questioned the authorities for not taking action against the officials who were responsible for the tragic incident in the city. eo
