Unfortunate AP CM claiming innocence

Vijayawada: YSR Congress Party chief and Leader of the Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday said that it was unfortunate for AP CM Chandrababu Naidu, who was caught red-handed in cash-for-vote scandal, to claim innocence. Speaking to media persons, YS Jagan alleged that Naidu had been luring the MPTCs, ZPTCs and other top leaders of the YSRCP which is a murder of democracy.

The Chief Minister is playing ugly politics by threatening the YSRCP leaders and luring with money, YS Jagan alleged. "Total of Rs 20 to Rs 25 lakhs were given to each MPTC to take them into the TDP. Is this democracy?," YS Jagan asked.

He sought to know what message is Naidu sending to the people by conducting MLC elections like this in the State. "If Naidu thinks he had won the MLC election, disqualify all the 21 MLAs who joined the TDP party and conduct re-elections to the constituencies," YS Jagan demanded. If re-poll are conducted, the YSRCP will be consider it as referendum.
