There Is No Alternative To Special Category Status

  • The central and the state Governments have deceived

Visakhapatnam: YSRCP's state General Secretary and member of Rajya Sabha, Vijay Sai Reddy, made it clear that there was no alternative to special category status. He spoke to the media at Visakhapatnam and mentioned that the state would benefit from special category status in the form of fans and discounts off work Rs.1.45 lakh crore. He remarked that sanction of packages would never be able to compensate not sanctioning special status. He challenged openly for public discussion on the issue and reiterated that YSRCP would continue to fight till the status was attained.
Vijay Sai Reddy mentioned that special railway zone for Visakhapatnam and establishment of educational institutions Where are also promised in the special status bill. Hey criticised that the Central and state governments had deceived the people of AP in the matter.

We welcome Pawan Kalyan
While commenting that Pawan Kalyan had come into picture after 2.5 years and criticised the central and state Governments tactfully, Sai Reddy stated that his interest in attainment of special status was however welcome. He expressed cheerfulness in behalf of YSRCP if Pawan Kalyan would want to join hands with the party in the fight for the cause.

No coalition with Congress
Vijay Sai Reddy declared that YSRCP would absolutely not join hands with Congress Party that had done injustice to Andhra Pradesh by bifurcating the united state against the will of the people. He commented that CM Chandrababu had understood the discontent people had towards him and was so not brave enough to hold corporate and municipality elections. Reminding how YSRCP had fought on behalf of people after elections under the leadership of YS Jagan, he proclaimed that the party would continue to do so.
Vijay Sai Reddy also mentioned that Andhra Pradesh had shared Rs.1.5 Lakh crore of debt as a result of bifurcation.
