TDP's Double Entendre

  • Babu can't play with people's feelings
  • Claiming ignorance of special package is politically incorrect
  • It's shameful of Babu to not know AP's geography
  • TDP leaders giving leaks to the media and pretending
  • Kakani slams the Government
Hyderabad: YSRCP MLA and president of Nellore district, Kakani Govardhan Reddy, remarked that playing with people's feelings in the matter of special category status was unjustifiable. While TDP cabinet minister Sujana Chowdary and MP CM Ramesh were stating to be doing negotiations in the matter of the status and that there might be an announcement any time now, CM Chandrababu was claiming ignorance of it, he criticised. He also mentioned that Babu had announced there was no use in going to Delhi unless a positive announcement was made.
He questioned the relevance between Andhrajyothi's news that cabinet meeting had decided to collect whatever could be collected from the centre and Chandrababu's saying that he had no idea about the matter of package. Kakani also questioned the reality behind the news that the centre had responded positively about bearing 90% of Polavaram project instead of 70% and about increase in the number of constituencies. He remarked that Chandrababu was bothered more about robbing part of special package than about developing the state, as special category status would not fill his packets as much.
Kakani criticised Babu's double entendre in the matter of special status. He commented that TDP leaders had been giving leaks to the media that special package would be announced any time and pretending to to be fighting for the status. He mocked Babu's lack of geographical knowledge of the state. He said that the Government was trying to avoid the mention of the issue in the assembly. He proclaimed that special status was the right of people of AP and TDP should break up with the centre if needed to achieve it. He confided that YSRCP would continue to fight with the aim of achieving the status.
Kakani complained that Chandrababu was negotiating with the centre in order to get out of Cash for Vote case under the mask of negotiating for special category status. He cautioned that approaching High Court would not let him escape investigation. He said that Sujana Chowdary had gone to the Raj Bhavan for the same purpose in the pretense of discussing the cabinet's decisions.
