Anantapur: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) workers and supporters attacked YSR Congress Party workers in Nagireddipalli village here today. The YSRCP workers were wall painting the latest campaign call called Navaratnalu given by the party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. TDP leader Devendra and his supporters attacked the YSRCP workers who were painting the walls. They objected to the wall painting and bashed them up severely.
In the attack, three YSRCP workers were severely injured. The injured party workers rushed to the police seeking their help and intervention, but the police preferred to remain a mute spectator even as the TDP supporters attacked YSRCP workers near the police station. The police, instead of helping the YSRCP workers, conducted a lathicharge on them.
