TDP unable to bear Jagan popularity

Hyderabad, April 2: Describing the
cabinet berth to turncoats as part of a larger conspiracy to defame YS Jagan
Mohan Reddy, YSR Congress has said many forces are working in tandem in the
futile exercise as they are unable to bear the popularity of our leader.

‘Chandrababu Naidu government has shown
that it can stoop to any level and leave principles and moral values to winds
for personal gains and the irony in the cabinet expansion shows that it was the
same person who had raised a hue and cry when TDP MLAs were given berths in
Telangana Government, has now resorted to the same exercise by inducting MLAs
who crossed over into the cabinet,’ party spokesperson Vasireddy Padma told
reporters here on Sunday.

A day before the cabinet expansion, the
forces opposing our leader have worked overtime and flared up baseless news
without verifying facts implicating YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in some shell
companies where the Economic Directorate has conducted raids.

‘There is a pattern to all this and the
motive is to defame our leader. We have seen all this. Chandrababu Naidu would
stoop to any level for personal gains and to defame his political opponents.
Earlier he had joined hands with Congress in filing cases against YS Jagan
Mohan Reddy and grouped up all the elements to run a negative campaign to deny
our leader bail in the due term.

This time around the message that MLAs
are safe in his nest and will be rewarded has been established by the
expansion. But such nefarious designs will not last long and our leader has
seen many such conspiracies and it has been YS Jagan Mohan Reddy versus one
thousand conspiracies during the past seven years,’ she said.

We will not be cowed down by such
intimidating tactics and our resolve to fight would get stronger by every such
deed of Chandrababu Naidu and his edifice would be weakening with every passing
day and would crumble soon. We are proud to be part of the YSR Congress and TDP
double standards are exposed by luring the MLAs with sops and threats, she
said.
