TDP neglecting tribals
13 Dec 2016 10:39 AM
Hyderabad, Dec 12: Reiterating that
Chandrababu Naidu government has been neglecting the tribals, YSR Congress has
said that it would take up some of the measures from the Party MP funds as the
recent two-day agency tour of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has thrown light on many
issues.
‘After the review meeting of the two-day
agency area tour during which tribals have highlighted the sheer negligence of
the TDP government towards tribals, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has instructed the
district leaders that the Party would build toilets in the government junior
college Chinturu and at Rampachodavaram with the funds of Rajya Sabha member V
Vijayasai Reddy,’ East Godavari district president Kanna Babu told reporters
here on Monday.
The apathy being shown by TDP government
towards tribals has been pathetic and the condition of government hostels,
colleges and primary health centres are in total disarray.
Brian fever and other ailments have been
very rampant in the agency area but no action was taken so far. For the past
four months 200 people were admitted to government hospital due to viral fever
and 14 kids were dead while the infant mortality and post-natal death rate has
been on the rise.
Yet the state has not been taking any remedial
steps, he said. The level of contamination in the water has been very high and
we have sent the samples which confirmed the fact but nothing has been
forthcoming from the government side, he said and demanded that all steps
should be taken for tribal welfare.
