TDP on negative path

Hyderabad, Aug 13: Throwing the
gauntlet, YSR Congress has said that TDP should accept that the Nandyal by-poll
is a referendum for its three-year rule failing which the ruling party seems to
have accepted defeat even before the battle was fought.

 Speaking to reporters here on
Sunday party spokesperson Vasireddy Padma said, ‘why are the TDP leaders
shying away from accepting Nandyal by-poll as a referendum to their three-year
rule. The main reason is that they have nothing to tell about the governance
and instead they have been resorting to leveling baseless allegations against
our leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The approach of TDP has been on a
negative path as they have been asking people not to vote for Jagan instead of
telling them about the developmental activities they have taken up after coming
to power.’

TDP has nothing to tell about
itself as the governance has been reeling under rampant corruption with shady
deals for kickbacks, scams from sand to land and money changing hands in all
infrastructure projects including the temporary structures coming up at huge
costs, she said.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been the voice
of the people and has been raising their issues as a true leader of opposition
while the Chief Minister has threatened the people of dire consequences if they
do not vote for TDP.

‘You should not use the roads, should
not take the pensions given by the government and should not use other public
utilities if you do not vote for the ruling party, Chandrababu Naidu went on
record which is unbecoming on part of the Chief Minister,’ she said.

Finding fault with state minister
Devineni Umamaheswara Rao for his remarks against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for
touching the feet of President Ram Nath Kovind and China Jeer Swamy, she said,
as they have been distorting the version. Our leader has respect for elders and
‘it was humility with which he had touched the feet of the two persons and TDP
is distorting it and attributing it to something else only to create a false
impression and is a meek attempt to divert the topic’, she said.

As Chandrababu Niadu and his bandwagon
has nothing to tell about their governance and their contribution in the field
of development, they are resorting to criticising our leader and treading the
negative path but it will boomerang as people are well aware of the
developments and how they were harassed in the name of Janma Bhoomi Committees
and how they were deprived of government schemes.

If the government is so confident why it
is going back on accepting the by poll as a referendum to their governance, she
said.
