TDP misusing official machinery
14 Dec 2016 4:48 PM
Hyderabad, Dec 14: YSR Congress said that the TDP government has misused
official machinery in the Kanagnapalli MPP election using force and coercion
even though the Party has no numbers to win the post and slammed State Minister
Devineni Umamaheswara Rao for his remarks against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
‘While Chandrababu Naidu has been named in the cash for vote scam his
party men, including ministers, are following him and there is large scale
manipulation and misuse of official machinery in the Kanaganapali MPP
election,’ party spokesperson Vasireddy Padma told reporters here on
Wednesday.
Though TDP has no numbers to win the post, the ruling party MLAs and
Ministers have camped and have been resorting to terror and manipulative
tactics to win the seat. This shows the weakness of the party as they are
resorting to rigging and unfair practices.
The numbers are clearly in favour of YSR Congress and for the past few
days the ruling party members have unleashed terror and appeasement tactics to
manipulate the numbers, she said.
Taking strong objection to the tone and body language of Irrigation
Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, she said, ‘he has to answer the pointed
questions raised by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and not the incoherent talk. Polavaram
has been the dream project of YSR and what we asked was why was the estimate
escalated and why the displaced persons were not given enough compensation.
Devineni Uma speaking in a tone and tenor that is unbecoming of a
minister and shows the levels of his frustration but he has to guard his tongue
before uttering such uncharitable remarks, she said.
