TDP leaders turned into brokers to maraud the red gram farmers

Ongole: YSR Congress Party MP YV Subba Reddy, who submitted resignation from the Lok Sabha, today alleged that the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders have turned into brokers to maraud the red gram farmers in Prakasam district. He has demanded that the government should purchase the crop from the farmers.

"The government should provide the minimum support price to the farmers. YSRCP is the only party in the state that strives for the benefit of the farmers. TDP's false propaganda is nothing new to the people, while the public support is completely with the YSRCP," he said.

Subba Reddy alleged that thought the ruling party came out of NDA, the TDP continues to maintain relations with BJP members. The recent appointment of a BJP leader's wife to the TTD Board was proof of their continued patronage, he asserted.

The YSRCP leader demanded that the government should lend financial support to the farmers who have lost crop due to the nonseasonal rains. The government should also provide compensation to the two families who lost their family members in the floods, he added
