TDP lacks credibility

Describing the by-poll as a precursor to the 2019 general elections, YSR
Congress President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that TDP has been blatantly
using money and muscle power in the by-election by luring all sections of the
people unmindful of the fact that none of the election promises of Chandrababu
Naidu was fulfilled even three years after coming to power.

‘He is now repeating the same promises
and is reiterating the same assurances which he did not fulfill during his
three years in office. While the entire cabinet had hit the streets for this
by-election and Chandrababu Naidu has been lavishly spending the ill-gotten
wealth to lure voters, what I have to offer is the path shown by YSR whose
welfare schemes had touched all sections of people,’ he told at a string of
public meetings in the constituency here on Thursday.

‘What I have and Chandrababu Naidu lacks
is credibility and values. He has been buying MLAs and has an indelible
reputation of going back on his promises and a history of rampant corruption.
What I have is the faith of people who are looking forward for YSR golden era
and the Navaratnas I have promised as they believe that our family will always
keep the promises given to people and we have history of honouring the election
promises as YSR had done,’ he said amid cheers from the gathering.

While he has amassed wealth by corrupt
practices, you the people and your faith is my biggest wealth as you carry the
memories of the welfare schemes of YSR and have the immense faith in me that I
will fulfill my assurances in the days to come, he said.

Chandrababu Naidu remembers sops like
sewing machines and tractors only during elections while we have always
believed in the welfare of farmers, women, students, youth and all sections of
people who are badly affected by his election promises. He did not keep up a
single poll promise.

 YSR has shown how welfare schemes could
be rolled out to benefit the various sections of people and the Navaratnas
announced are a reflection of his ideals, he said.

 Chandrababu Naidu has earlier assured
that hospitals and other public utilities would be built in Kurnool and Nandyal
but even the irrigation project of the region are neglected which shows the
governance of TDP and if he comes to town again and gives tall promises no one
will believe.

 The vote in the by-election would be a vote against the corrupt
governance of Chandrababu Naidu who failed to fulfill a single poll promise and
will be a precursor to the 2019 general elections, he said.
