TDP has no option but to quit

Hyderabad: YSR Congress has said that Chandrababu Naidu has no option other than asking his MPs to quit the Lok Sabha as the en masse resignations of 25 MPs from the State would send a strong message and will become a national issue.

Speaking to media here on Friday, Party senior leader Dharmana Prasada Rao said,  our decision to quit was announced one year back during the Party Plenary held at Guntur by our Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and we have been very categorical about the need for Special Category Status (SCS) which only can pave way for development.

As announced by our Leader, our Party MPs have submitted their resignations and sat on an indefinite hunger strike at Delhi and Chandrababu Naidu who went to Delhi has been trying hard to eke out political mileage but the only option before him is to ask his MPs to quit and join us which will send a thundering message to the nation.

We had stalled the Lok Sabha proceedings pressing for No-Confidence motion to be taken up by the Chair and we represent the voice of the five crore people.

Chandrababu Naidu has been the main accused in watering down the SCS all these years and suddenly if he takes a U-turn he cannot become a champion of the cause by writing letters or convening All-Party meetings as it was he who has stalled all the protests demanding the SCS, he said.

This is not the time for writing letters or holding discussion but it is time to act and resignations are the only answer to the demanding situation.
He talked ill of SCS all the four years and went to the extent of saying that SCS is not a wonder drug and even has unilaterally agreed for special package in lieu of SCS and he stands as a culprit for depriving the state of SCS.

The only democratic outlet for TDP is to quit the Lok Sabha failing which Chandrababu Naidu will go down into the history of the state as a characterless person with no scruples. Any amount of theatrics by Chandrababu Naidu would tantamount to cover up his failures and his numerous amounts of blockades from the state getting SCS, he said.
