Sympathy, Money Helped TDP Win: Silpa Mohan Reddy

Nandyal: YSR Congress Party candidate Silpa Mohan Reddy said money power and sympathy for Bhuma's family members in the wake of Bhuma Nagi Reddy's death played an important role in favor of the TDP in the Nandyal bypoll.
He said the sympathy could be one of the main reasons that enabled the TDP to secure more votes. He said this was not a vote for the development. It was a sympathy wave, he said.
Stating that he was obeying the people's verdict with humility and said he would introspect the poll outcome. He said he had fallen sick during the campaign, but that did not impact the poll outcome. He also thanked all the party workers and leaders for working very hard for him in the bypolls.
