State Government Insulting Ambedkar

Hyderabad: Acclaiming Dr. BR Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Constitution of India, for eradicating untouchability in India, YSRCP SC cell president, Meruga Nagarjuna, slammed the State Government for insulting the great leader. Speaking to the media at the party's central office in Hyderabad on Tuesday on account of Dr. BR Ambedkar's death anniversary, he criticised that the governance in AP was going against constitutional values. Commenting that TDP rule was ridiculing the constitution and watering down the laws, he reminded how Chandrababu himself had commented that nobody would want to be born in SC community and that those who were born in slum areas would only  have slum thoughts.

YSRCP leaders paid homage to BR Ambedkar at the party's office. Meruga spoke on the occasion to state that injustice was being done to Dalits in the state. Complaining that Chandrababu was diverting sub-plan funds sanctioned for SCs, he also remarked that Babu was misusing the police to make attacks on the Dalits. He demanded immediate action on the CI and the SI of Chunduru mandal in Guntur district for physically assaulting Dalits.
