Nellore: YSRCP's president of Nellore district, Kakani Govardhan Reddy, exposed the true colours of TDP MLC Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, who always claimed to have lost everything after entering into politics. Presenting evidences, he uncovered the list of illegal assets of Somireddy in front of people via the media. Demanding explanation from CM Chandrababu and MLC Somireddy and CBI probe on his assets, Kakani showed the xerox copies of the property documents of Somireddy.
Membership in Singapore club
Reminding how Somireddy claimed that he was a pauper, Kakani revealed that Somireddy, in fact, had membership in rifle club of Singapore. Presenting the bills from Somireddy's hotel stay in Singapore soon after the 2014 elections and list of companies in Singapore registered under Somireddy's name, and those houses and villas bought with the help of some Ramaswamy Veeran and Raman Singh in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong. He also showed the financial transactions done with May Bank, OCBC and Bank of China.
Kakani also presented the 51-minute call data of Somireddy's international mobile number. According to Government's calculation, the value of illegal assets of Somireddy was about Rs.500 crore and as per market value it could even exceed Rs.1000 crore, he exclaimed. He demanded probe on how Somireddy had managed to earn the membership in Foreign Investment Board, to be able to buy all these assets. Kakani also mentioned the assets bought in Nellore and Allipuram in the name of Somireddy Jyothi.
