Sharmila: Teach fitting lesson to Cong, TDP

Guntur, March 8, 2013:
Smt. Y. S. Sharmila, who has been undertaking Maro Praja Prasthanam Padayatra
on behalf of YSR Congress party chief Sri Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, called upon
the people to teach a fitting lesson to Congress and TDP in the next elections.

Addressing an impromptu
public meeting at T. Chandavaram in Nadendla Mandalam of Guntur district after
unveiling YSR’s statue during the course of Padayatra on Thursday, Smt.
Sharmila said while the Congress Government remained unconcerned about the
people’s problems, opposition TDP has been supporting the anti-people stance of
the Government.

“The Congress
Government has been surviving on the tacit support of the TDP. Both Congress
and TDP should be taught a fitting lesson through the ballot box as they are
not thinking of the people’s problems,” she appealed to the people.

Earlier, thousands of
farmers, students and women of surrounding villages followed Smt. Sharmila
during the Padayatra raising slogans ‘Jai Jagan.’ People of different villages stopped
her midway through the Padayatra and narrated their woes saying longer power
cuts have only added to their existing problems.

“There are no schemes
like Pavala Vaddi (25 paisa interest scheme), Arogya Sree, fee reimbursement
and pension now-a-days and we are being forced to lead distressed lives,”
people told her.

Smt. Sharmila rekindled
their confidence by assuring them that problems of all sections people would be
solved during the Rajanna Rajyam which is not far off.
