Sharmila lashes out at Naidu for lying

Vijayawada, March 27,
2013: Calling TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu chameleon, Smt. Y.S.Sharmila fumed at
him for unabashedly telling lies over the waiver of power bill arrears.

Addressing a mammoth public
meeting at Vijayawada soon after leading her Maro Praja Prasthanam Padayatra
into the Krishna District Tuesday evening, she said Naidu must have gone mad to
declare that he had waived power bills and YSR had hiked power charges.

“Naidu must have naturally
turned insane or become a mad cap after realizing the naked fact that TDP will
not be voted to power in the next elections despite his completing 2500-km
Padayatra,” Smt. Sharmila observed.

She said Naidu regime
witnessed hiking of power charges from Rs.50 to Rs.625 per horse power besides the
power tariff hike for 8 times in 8 years regularly as per Naidu’s MOU with the
World Bank.

Recalling the decisions
made by the YSR regime, Smt. Sharmila said Dr YSR, on the first day of assuming
power, had inked his first signature on the file that sanctioned 7-hour free
power supply to farmers. He next waived power bill arrears worth Rs. 1400 Cr
and also paid ex-gratia of Rs.1.50 lakh to each of the families of those who committed
suicide unable to pay power bill arrears during the TDP regime.

Forgetting all those
things, Naidu has been telling a string of lies in his Padayatra. “What do you
call him, a leader or a chameleon?” she asked the people.

Smt. Sharmila has so
far completed walking a distance of 1393.1 km at the end of 102nd
day on Tuesday.
