Hyderabad: YSRCP
senior leader and MLC Ummareddy Venkateswarlu made it clear that YSRCP had more
than enough strength to offer victory to its nominee in Rajya Sabha elections.
He explained that it was why Vijay Sai Reddy’s candidacy had been proposed. Ummareddy
Venkateswarlu and Vijay Sai Reddy met the Chief Election Commissioner Bhanwar
Lal. They went on to submit form AA and form BB to the commissioner.
On this occasion, they
complained to the EC against the CM’c encouraging party defection. Ummareddy
informed that YSRCP was contesting in Rajya Sabha election because it had
enough strength. He remarked that it was evident from Telangana what would
happen if a party contested without having the qualifying strength. Ummareddy
mentioned that it was unethical of TDP to nominate a fourth member without
proper strength. He confided that YSRCP would win the Rajya Sabha elections in
spite of any kind of hurdles posed.
