Samaikya Rythu Sankharavam to be launched

Hyderabad, Sept 16,
2013: YSR Congress Party will soon embark on Samaikya Rythu Sankharavam in
Seemandhra districts to propagate the cause of unified Andhra Pradesh. Party
honourary president Smt. Y.S. Vijayamma will lead the programme.

Disclosing this to
media persons here on Monday, party senior leader and Central
Governing Council Member Ummareddy Venkateswarlu said that the Samaikya Rythu
Sankharavam will only be the continuation of Smt.Y.S.Sharmila’s Samaikya
Sankharavam Bus Yatra.

“In view of Smt.
Sharmila’s Bus Yatra coming to a close today, the party has decided to launch
this Samaikya Rythu Sankharavam in continuation of the programme,” he said and
added that the details of the programme would be disclosed in the next two
days.

He said farmers would
be most adversely affected in case of bifurcation of the state as the projects
in the Seemandhra were built on the availability of Krishna and Godavari
surplus waters.

“We may get surplus
waters in times floods or good rain fall but there is no guarantee that net
waters would be available to the farmers of Krishna and Godavari delta in
normal times. Farmers will participate in this programme with their tractors,”
he revealed.

Ummareddy said
Seemandhra people have sent out a clear message that they want to keep the
state united. “This message will now get stronger with the Samaikya Rythu
Sankharavam,” Ummareddy remarked.

He said from the very beginning,
YSR Congress party has been on the forefront in protecting the interests of the
people through different agitations. “This programme is also in the interests
of the people, especially the farming community,” he said and appealed to all Samaikya
Andhra loving people to participate in it.
