Revive jute mills
06 Mar 2016 11:14 PM
Hyderabad, March 6: YSR Congress had
demanded the TDP government to revive the jute and steel mills immediately
which will help at least one lakh families to get an earning.
‘The present situation in the state is
not conducive for attracting investors at least if the closed jute, steel and
ferro-alloys units are revived over one lakh families will get back their
earning,’ Party MLC Veerabhadra Swamy told reporters here on Sunday.
In Vizianagaram district many jute mills
were closed along mills in Visakhaptanam, Guntur and Krishna districts and it
would be a wise step to initiate steps to revive them immediately instead of
organizing lavish partnership summits which yield nothing.
The steel mills and ferro-alloys units are
also facing severe crisis and the government, though represented on various
occasions, did not come to the rescue with a package that would benefit the
units immediately, he said.
