Nandyal: YSR Congress Party leader Silpa Mohan Reddy's brother Silpa Chakrapani Reddy announced quitting his MLC Post at the public meeting in Nandyal, attended by party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Speaking at the meeting, Silpa Chakrapani Reddy said on the instructions of YS Jagan he relinquished MLC Post elected only a few months ago from the ruling TDP. He threw a challenge to all YSR Congress MLAs who joined the TDP to quit their membership and fight the elections afresh. He dared defector Budda Rajasekhara Reddy to seek fresh mandate if he has guts. " I became MLC 90 days back. I have also submitted my resignation in speaker's format. The defectors should resign and seek re-election if they have guts," he said.
Many leaders including Bhuma Nagi Reddy and Budda Rajasekhar developed political career with the blessings of former Chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy. But they ditched YS Jagan, he said and warned all the defectors will face public anger in the next elections.
He appealed the people of Nandyal to vote in favour of his brother Silpa Mohan Reddy.
