Bhuvanagiri,
Sept 10: Senior Congress leader Uppunutala Purushottama Reddy joined the YSR
Congress party on Sunday along with his supporters at Rayagiri in Bhuvanagiri
Mandalam of Nalgonda district.
After
joining the party in the presence of party leaders Vijayachander and YV Subba
Reddy, Purushottama Reddy said the administration in the state has gone astray
after the death of YSR. “The Government has not been caring for the problems of
people,” he said, adding that the people are facing multifold problems due to
the inefficient administration of the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy.
Along
with Purushottama Reddy, former national youth congress general secretary
Chamala Kirankumar Reddy also joined the party along with his supporters. Both
the leaders quit the Congress a few days ago.
“With
Purushottama Reddy joining the party, YSR Congress will get strengthened in
Nalgonda district,” said Subba Reddy on the occasion.
