'Prez remarks does not absolve Chandrababu'

Hyderabad, July 4: President Pranab Mukherjee’s remark that people of the two Telugu speaking states should be like brothers does not absolve N Chandrababu Naidu from the corruption charges in the cash for vote case, YSR Congress has said.

“The President’s message has a subtle meaning that the two Chief Minister’s should not fight each other and at the same time it also infers that Chandrababu Naidu should quit his post till the cash for vote issue is cleared by the courts,” Party Telangana spokesperson Konda Raghav Reddy told reporters here on Saturday.

Normally President never comments nor passes any remarks but the seriousness of the issue with Chandrababu Naidu changing tunes too often and the Section 8 made him pass the remark of brotherhood and on no count does it absolve the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister from the corruption charges.

“We read the message as a suggestion to Chandrababu Naidu to quit and come with a clean chit. The TDP on the other hand is reading that the remark has absolved their leader from the charges in the cash for vote case,” he said.

The Paramarsa Yatra of Sharmila is evoking good response in Ranga Reddy district and people are moved by her visit to their houses, he said.
