Polavaram does not seem to have a finishing date

Vijayawada: YSRCP MLC Ummareddy Venkateswarlu expressed his
displeasure towards the delay in completion of Polavaram project. He wondered if the project was in the hands of the centre or the state. Speaking to the media at Vijayawada, he commented
that Pattiseema lift irrigation scheme was of no benefit for the farmers or the
state. He ridiculed the Government by exclaiming that drawing water using 2-3
lifts did not mean that rivers were inter-linked. Ummareddy mentioned that it
seemed impossible for the Polavaram project to be completed even by 2018.
