Plenaries At The Cost Of People's Thirst

Hyderabad: The state General Secretary of YSRCP Konda Raghava Reddy condemned CM KCR for conducting plenary meetings while the problem of drought was overtaking the state. He spoke to the media at the party's central office at Lotus Pond. He mentioned how the people in rural areas were suffering from scarcity of drinking water and how the cattle were dying due to lack of fodder. He commented that KCR might be the only CM spending crores of rupees on plenary meetings in such a situation.

Raghava Reddy mentioned that it was customary for other parties to stay away while a family member of any demised MLA was contesting for his position. He questioned the ethics behind making minister Tummala Nageswara Rao to contest as TRS candidate in Paleru by-elections instead, wasting public money.
Raghava Reddy suggested that the problems of scarcity of drinking water and lack of fodder for cattle in the villages of the district could be solved with the money wastefully spent on Paleru by-elections. He criticised that from the 1100 martyrs of the 15-year long Telangana movement, only 250 received assistance. Raghava Reddy also commented that double bedroom houses were sanctioned nowhere in the state except in Hyderabad. He warned that the CM could not spend any longer with magic of words and might have to succumb to people's fury someday.
