Kakinada: The YSR Congress Party will improve the living standards of the people of Kakinada if voted to power in the civic body elections, said party senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP Vijay Sai Reddy.
Vijay Sai Reddy, who conducted extensive poll campaign in Ward No 19 and 20 of Kakinada on Tuesday, said the people were facing several hardships in the absence of proper drainage system. He said the locals were facing lot of problems. Mosquito menace was one of the biggest problems facing the people, he said and added that if voted to power, the YSRCP will solve the problems of the people on war footing.
He said the people were fed up with the TDP and were ready to teach it a befitting lesson. Though Kakinada was declared a smart city, no developmental works have been taken up in the city during the past three years. Though the Government should have to spend close to Rs 200 crore, it has managed to spend a mere Rs 2 crore. The failures of the TDP Government will help the YSRCP win the elections, the YSRCP MP added.
