People are my biggest protection

Nellore: YSRCP Nellore rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy has once again sent back the gunmen allocated to him for his protection. Kotamreddy does not have any gunmen since he has become an MLA.

Immediately after his being elected, the Andhra Pradesh Government had allocated two gunmen to Kotamreddy. However, he refused to have them saying he does not need police protection. Twice later, he rejected the Government offer saying the people were his biggest protection.

In the latest incident, the Government allocated two gunmen for him on Monday. It said since he was undertaking Palle Nidra in interior villages, he needs protection. But, Kotamreddy rejected the offer and wrote a letter to the DGP and the DGP (Intelligence) and SP, Nellore to this effect.
