Pension reaching wrong pockets

- Janmabhoomi Committees are acting at their will
- Eligible benefiters are missing their pension
- Pensions falsely sanctioned to TDP activists
- YSR has the credit to have given pension to the eligible: Kakani
Assembly: YSRCP MLA Kakani Govardhan Reddy stated that the pension system in AP is in a perplexed state. Speaking in the question-answer session of the assembly, he criticized that the Government had been filling Janmabhoomi committess with TDP leaders in an unruly manner. He added that pensions were being removed from Aadhar cards just because the finger prints were not being clear.
Govardhan Reddy questioned the Government if pension was being given to all the eligible candidates as mentioned in the election manifesto. He condemned the members of Janmabhoomi committees for acting against regulations. He also mentioned that Telugudesam activists were allotting pension to their own names instead of giving it to SCs and STs. Then they went to court for justice. Kakani questioned if the Government had tried to rectify their mistakes then.
Kakani demanded to know if the Government had ever sanctioned pension to villages according to ratios. He acclaimed late Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy to have been credited for sanctioning pension to eligible people. He mocked by saying that TDP had the credit of reducing the pension amount of Rs.43 lakh to Rs.39 lakh. He expressed his concern about the Government’s reducing the amount rather than increasing it and stated that it was shameful of the TDP Government.
Kakani complained that Janmabhoomi committees were resorting to acts like noting people without cultivated lands as if they had them and avoiding paying them pension. Windows were being presented as if they had husbands alive. Thus the Government was avoiding sanctioning pension, exemplified Kakani.
